Hi and welcome to our little story. Rick and I (Lynn) are from NJ and purchased these cabins in 2000. We knew we wanted to live in the White Mountains and we spent several years looking for 'A Better Life'. We had looked for campgrounds to purchase for some time but nothing struck us. We got to the point that we knew we specifically wanted to live in Bartlett. Now we were in trouble. No existing campgrounds in Bartlett. Land? That didn't thrill us. Then lo and behold these cabins & the 9 acres they sit on came up for sale. Yippee! So on December 29, 2000 we became the deeded owners of what is now Rick & Lynn's -- A Better Life. We provide you with this extensive introduction to help explain a lot of what you may see here, on this page, and throughout the web site. Sure, we're going to show you some really beautiful stuff, but we're also going to show you the 'joys' of our new business venture. We hope you have fun.

Oh Look ... Our Shed ... what more can I say

WOW! Not only did we get a really cool shed, we got us a 1960's snowmobile! I wonder how much it's going to cost us to have it hauled away.

This is Rick at the Summit of Mt. Washington. We took the Cog up. It really was a blast.

This is me (Lynn) on one of my more photogenic days. We were up there late July 2000 ... it was 42 degrees & the wind chill was 10! The wind was so strong at the summit I kept getting blown over & finally had to crawl up to the sign. Wasn't gonna get frost bite and not have a photo of me by the sign.
